Ephesians 4:11 & 12 says that God has given pastors and teachers to prepare God's people for works of ministry, so the church may be built up. Gate City has created a process by which our members can:

• Learn what the Bible teaches about ministry.
• Learn how every believer is a minister.
• Learn how God has prepared every believer by uniquely shaping them for ministry.

We believe that God has given every Christian:

• Spiritual gifts that are given for the purpose of serving others.
• Heart motivations that influence the choices we make and the feelings we have.
• Abilities that empower our service and affirm our choice of ministry areas.
• Personalities that lend themselves to diverse opportunities.
• Experiences, whether spiritual, educational, or those born out of pain, that compel us toward ministry.

C.L.A.S.S. 301 "Discovering My Ministry" helps people discover their God-given passion, gifts, and personal sytle for ministry. It is our prayer that every believer in Jesus Christ will find an area to serve the Lord.

Jesus' words in Matthew 25 serve as great motivation, "I was hungry and you fed me, ...thirsty and you gave me drink, ...needed clothes and you clothed me, ...sick and you cared for me, ...in prison and you visited me. Whenever you have done this for the least person, you did it for me."
